Learning Teams
Each and every day many of us go to our place of employment. We are expected to perform specific functions and at times we are called upon to deliver results in a group setting. At Meritus University, the learning teams are vital to the overall learning practice. You will work in learning teams that simulate the manner in which work is completed in today’s global marketplace.
Whether a student is in the classroom or in a team, each is able to interact with others while sharing ideas, debating issues and learning from their mutual experiences. As a result there is nothing more inspirational and productive than in this type of group learning. Being able to learn how others have overcome challenges and how they have handled obstacles preparation for real life. These interactive groups are filled with eager students who are thirsty for knowledge and as a result the ideas never stop. No matter the time zone or location, the learning teams thrive in the Meritus setting because of you.
Learning Format
Meritus University operates outside a traditional academic calendar. New students can begin at any time. Graduate courses are six consecutive weeks and undergraduate courses are ten consecutive weeks. Graduate students will typically take one intensive course at a time and undergraduate students will typically take two courses at a time. This allows you to focus attention and resources on one or two subjects - a structure that enhances learning and helps you balance ongoing professional and personal responsibilities.
The scheduling of courses is designed to enable you to take them back-to-back without breaks, although you may choose to break between courses. This intensive calendar, added to our low student/faculty ratio and smaller class sizes (averaging 20 students), allows you to achieve your educational goals in a more time-efficient manner.
